MUSIC WITH MEGAN
An Untraditional Approach
Music should be fun! My lessons are geared towards keeping students engaged and excited. I've developed a very out-of-the-box teaching style that takes into account the student's learning style, interests, and goals. It's important for students to feel successful from day 1, and it's my goal to have each student playing a song by the end of the first lesson. We sing, move, and play our way through music!
Whether you're a total beginner or an advanced player looking to brush up on some skills, I'll custom design a curriculum to meet your goals and make sure we have a great time along the way.
I'VE NEVER PLAYED AN INSTRUMENT BEFORE
I ALREADY PLAY AN INSTRUMENT

Growing up in the family music store, I learned a love for music at an early age. I started piano at age 3, and just kept adding instruments from there. I majored in music at MidAmerica Nazarene University, where I was on scholarship for Piano, Trumpet and French Horn. I have taught General Music, Band, and Orchestra in various Los Angeles area private and charter schools, as well as teaching music classes for home-school co-op groups in the Hollywood area. I've been teaching private lessons for more than 17 years, taking students from ages 4-adult, from beginner to advanced skill levels.
I have experience with non-traditional learners (ASD, ADHD, and other learning disabilities), as well as young beginners and early readers.
I am currently teaching online lessons only. However, I will be resuming hybrid and in-person lessons (Los Angeles locals only) soon!
